60 Lafayette St. New York, NY.

Designed and built by Haines Lundberg Waehler in 1975 in the style called "brutalism" [1]. The original building was clad in shiny black granite and was often compared to the death star [2]. Poor engineering and construction led to a renovation, and facelift in 2006. The facade is now clad in new energy efficient materials. [3]
